Kempower Easter Tournament sujui upeasti

Vuoden 2024 Kempower Easter Tournament pelattiin pääsiäisenä Lahdessa. Kaikkiaan 603 ottelua sisältänyt turnaus sujui kaikilla osa-alueilla hienosti.

Turnaukseen ilmoittautui 243 joukkuetta, mutta muutamien viime hetken poisjääntien vuoksi lopullinen joukkuemäärä oli 239. Tämä on uusi ennätys Lahti Basketball Junioreiden järjestämien turnausten historiassa. Suuresta osallistujamäärästä huolimatta järjestelyt sujuivat mutkattomasti ja turnaus sai jälleen paljon positiivista palautetta joukkueilta ja kisavierailta.

-Järjestelyt sujuivat nappiin. Kaikista osa-alueista on tullut paljon hyvää palautetta, mistä suuri kiitos kuuluu talkooväelle. Viikonlopun aikana oli upeaa seurata hymyileviä kasvoja niin pelikentillä kuin niiden ympäristössä, kehuu turnauspäällikkö Jimi Koskinen.

Iso turnaus vaatii ison taustajoukon. Tänä vuonna erilaisissa tehtävissä oli avustamassa yli 350 talkoolaista, joille kuuluu iso kiitos turnauksen onnistumisesta.

- Näin ison turnauksen järjestäminen ei olisi mahdollista yhtään pienemmällä joukolla. Jo ennen turnausta tehtiin paljon taustatyötä, ja viikonlopun aikana kentillä ja niiden ulkopuolella, majoituskouluilla, kioskeissa, kuljetuksissa ja muissa tehtävissä uurasti valtava määrä vapaaehtoisia. Kiitos heistä ihan jokaiselle. Saimme paljon palautetta talkoolaisten hienosta ja auttavaisesta asenteesta, Koskinen hehkuttaa.

Ensi vuoden Kempower Easter Tournament pelataan pääsiäisenä 18.-20.4.2025.

Kempower Easter Tournament 2024 was a success

The 2024 Kempower Easter Tournament took place in Lahti over the Easter weekend. The tournament, consisting of a total of 603 matches, went smoothly in all aspects.

A total of 243 teams signed up for the tournament, but due to a few last-minute withdrawals, the final number of teams was 239. This sets a new record in the history of tournaments organized by Lahti Basketball Juniors. Despite the large number of participants, the organization ran smoothly, and the tournament received a lot of positive feedback from both teams and visitors.

"The arrangements went perfectly. We've received a lot of positive feedback from all areas, for which a big thanks goes to our volunteers. It was wonderful to see smiling faces throughout the weekend, both on the courts and around them," praised tournament director Jimi Koskinen.

A big tournament requires a big support team. This year, over 350 volunteers assisted in various roles, and they deserve a big thank you for the success of the tournament.

"Organizing such a large tournament wouldn't be possible without a big team. A lot of groundwork was done even before the tournament, and throughout the weekend, a huge number of volunteers worked tirelessly both on and off the courts, at the accommodation schools, kiosks, transportation, and other tasks. Thanks to each and every one of them. We received a lot of feedback on the volunteers' great and helpful attitude," Koskinen emphasized.

Next year's Kempower Easter Tournament will take place over Easter from April 18th to 20th, 2025.
